African Bank CFO resigns with immediate effect

Anbann Chetti has resigned as group chief financial officer of African Bank Holdings, with effect from 11 September, saying he wishes to pursue other opportunities.
Chetti has also stepped down as an executive director of African Bank Limited and African All Cover Limited, with immediate effect, Katherine Child reports for Moneyweb.
His departure automatically triggers his resignation from five board committees: the assets and liabilities committee, the special projects and large exposures committee, the model risk, capital and funding crisis committee, the capital raising committee, and the macro-economic sub-committee.
He will be succeeded on an acting basis by Given Mabena, until a permanent replacement is appointed.
Chetti's exit comes six months after African Bank chief executive Kennedy Bungane resigned with immediate effect in March.
