Festival returns for 34th year with new art fair and geek culture additions

The Hilton Arts Festival returns to Hilton College in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands from 7 to 9 August 2026, marking its 34th year with what organisers describe as its biggest and boldest programme yet, Artslink reports.

The festival, which draws more than 25,000 visitors annually and holds both national and international recognition, will feature two new additions this year: the inaugural KZN Art Fair at Hilton Arts Festival and Just Geekin' at Hilton Arts Festival, adding to an existing programme spanning theatre, live music, comedy, visual arts, film, family entertainment and artisanal experiences.

The 2026 programme includes performers and productions from South Africa and abroad, spanning drama, live music and immersive cultural experiences across the three-day event.
